Savanna is an impressive and selfless young lady! The 7-year-old did not want
any gifts given to her at her birthday party. Instead, she asked for donations
to bring to Hope In The Valley!
The many gifts included cash, feed, brushes, wormer, fly spray, horse treats, two buckets, even a purple lead rope!

Kyle's Eagle Scout Project was to build us a NEW feeding barn to replace the torn and ragged one we had.
With lumber donated by Star Lumber & Supply and metal panels donated by Lester Buildings, Kyle and his Eagle Scout troop did an AMAZING job!!!

Adoption days was a huge success due in part to the cooperation between the Sedgwick County Animal Control Department, Sedgwick County Sheriffs Department, and Hope in the Valley Equine Rescue and Sanctuary.
Richard Havens brought the Sedgwick County Animal Response Team (SCART) mobile unit out for display at our Adoption Days and to answer any questions about what they do and how they interact with us as an equine rescue.
Thank you Richard so much for your hard work and willingness to educate people about it!
We had a wonderful time giving rides at the Pavilions re-Discovery event in January 2011!

Chris Kaegi-Stevens, a trainer who has really helped HITVERAS, put on a fun show full of obstacles to help us rate our training and riding skills. Kizmet (left) and Pekabu were there representing the rescue.
We had a great time at the our 2nd Benefit Jackpot Barrel Race and Fundraiser. Here is a parade of the rescue horses we had there.
