Rest In Peace, Dusty.
Dusty was a twenty-something bay mare that had been starved and was rescued from a sale. She could not eat hay so required Senior Feed to maintain a healthy weight.
Bless her heart, she loved to munch on grass - just couldn't chew it up.
She was broke to ride but due to a past leg injury she suffered from arthritis and we could never overcome her rain rot.
Ande decided it was time to send her over the Rainbow Bridge in July of 2010, before the cold weather set in.
Fat and happy, her quality of life was beginning to suffer as her pain became worse, and we are here to give them a better life, not prolong their pain.
We loved Dusty and although we miss her, she's in a better place now.
