Gem is named that because he is a "Gem" of a horse. Also, because he has a diamond shaped white spot above his nose.

He was found wandering in Sedgwick County by Animal Control.

He was a well broke approximately 3 year old horse when he came to us in November of 2016.

He is perfect for kids to adults of all riding abilities. Therefore, we decided to put him in our sanctuary.

We use him to teach novice horse people how to approach, halter and tie up a horse, to give rides at different events and as an ambassador for the rescue.
