Smith is a buttermilk buckskin born in approximately 2003.
He is a big guy at 15.3hh.
His owners acquired him when they lived in Mulvane. He had been abandoned by his previous owners, and they wanted to help him out. When they moved recently, they brought him to their new home.
Smith came to us as a result of a colic call. His current owners are not as familiar with horses and wanted him to go to a good home.Dr. Jayson Kiser responded to a farm call and recommended to the family that they contact us if they wanted to surrender him rather than sell him at auction.
Smith needs a few groceries and will be handled by our trainer to put some wet blanket time on him.
He is super muddy after the ice melt. We will get him a bath once it warms up! He presents a wealth of opportunities for our volunteers. He needs brushed, loved on and practice coming up to individuals rather than running off.
If you would like to help us care for this horse and others like it, find out how you can sponsor us monthly.
