Rest In Peace, Chip.
According to Chip's previous owner, the Appaloosa is 18. According to the vet, he's more like 30 .
At any rate, Chip is a loveable guy. He stands around 14 hands high and will come right up to you. He's probably rideable, and may end up being a good children's horse, we won't know for sure until we put some weight back on him and get him healthy.
He has very few teeth left, and will need special care in feeding for the rest of his life. But this guy is worth it. He's as sweet as they come.
Chip and Ollie following Gretchen and Lexi to check the water.
He's content. Look at that tongue sticking out...
And who can pass up that face! He certainly looks good and round compared to when he came here.
Megan is riding him with a Hackamore. Probably so he is free to stick out his tongue...
Her riding report is that he wants to go go go and go some more! This is not a horse for young children, he's got a good lot of spunk in him yet.
Chip looking well filled out.
Rest in peace Chip.
