Grace :: Adopted!
Cinda sent us some updated pictures to show us how beautifully Grace has come along.
Story's like these are the reason we do this!
On July 29, 2010 Sedgwick Co. seized a mare, whom we named Grace (left), and filly whom we named Hope.
Grace, while not too bad (comparatively), had very little milk for her.
She has some kicking issues, and probably needs some encouragement that the abuse is over and she can trust us.
She was sent to the trainer's in October 2010 for evaluation and possible training.
Mama Grace back from the trainer's. She's got a good disposition and learned quickly. She no longer has kicking issues.
Chasity (one of our board members) has been out riding her. In addition, some of Lisa's observations include, "Grace is doing well under saddle... she enjoys being out and about.. she likes to lead.. not much bothers her..except cows at the moment. I think once she sees them more she will settle. One thing she does do is feed off of the person riding her.. so if you are confident.. she will be confident... if you aren't.. then she feeds off of that...She has improved immensely since she has gone to the trainer."
Grace and her new forever owner Cinda.
We think they make a great couple!
