Chris is a 15.2 hand Thoroughbred gelding born in 2004.
Chris originally came to us in December, 2010 along with several other horses that were seized by the county.
He was adopted but came back to us in April 2013 due to financial hardship. He is very rusty and needs to go to the trainer for some remedial training.
He has some distinct physical markings in addition to his racing registry tattoo.
Although he was not underweight when he came to us the marks of neglect were clearly visible like these scars on this pastern and sesamoid areas.
Chris also suffered from a swollen and frostbitten penis that would no longer retract. The vet had to remove the damaged flesh.
There was also a roofing nail embedded into his foot that was deep enough to cause him pain but no permanent damage.
