Project Horses

Project horses have not been started under saddle, have not been ridden in years and need a tune-up, or have had a traumatic past that can cause them to be unpredictable and overreactive. Potential adopters must possess a high level of equestrian skill and problem-solving ability. Further training will be required for these horses to reach their full potential.

Helena

Helena is a beautiful red roan.  Sweet-natured and seeks attention, Helena has come a long way in building her trust and confidence.  She arrived at Hope a timid, thin 4 year old with a 3 day foal (Cowboy). Once shy and unsure, Helena is now interactive in the herd, with volunteers, and with visitors.  She is looking for someone with whom to build a future.  Earn her trust, give her time and she will be a great lifelong partner.

Josie

This sweet, stunning little orphaned filly arrived at Hope at only 12 hours of age.  Her spirit instantly won the hearts of the entire Hope team.  She was named Josie in honor of Joss who crossed over just the night before her arrival, making room in the herd for this little one.  Smart and very social, she stands for the farrier, loads in a trailer, and walks nicely on a halter.  She is one special little filly.

Sarge is a handsome devil.  Typically easy going but there is a spark in his eye that makes the statement he is not a push over.  He wants a partnership with the lucky person who will make a committment to him.

Shiloh

This beautiful little filly has two sides, a sweet, shy demenaor that will steal your heart and a sassy side that will keep you on your toes and make you giggle.  Shiloh is loyal to her two girlfriends, Taylan and Spitfire, but does enjoy human interaction on her terms.

Sir Dudley

The littlest of the eight rescued foals this little fella has caught up with his herd mates in size. Sir Dudley is as easy going as the day is long and always willing to please. He will stick up for himself when picked on by his herd mates but when his favorite human shows up he is putty in her hands. A handsome dark bay, Sir Dudley can melt any heart with his deep dark eyes.
