Activity At The Rescue
Hope For Rescue Horses
Horses from all walks of life can find a safe and welcoming place at Hope In The Valley Equine Rescue and Sanctuary. We are a local non-profit equine rescue located in Valley Center, Kansas run by volunteers and supported through donations. Hope cares for an average herd size of 55 equine and has helped over 600 horses, donkeys, and mules find a better life through Hope.
Horses in Kansas can be offered hope in emergency situations. In the event their owners have passed or can no longer provide for them, and in the event of neglect or abandonment cases under investigation by law enforcement. On occasion the Hope Team will find equine in need of rescue at auction but this is rare due to the cost.
Hope exists to rescue, rehabilitate, reconnect, and rehome –
“To Give Them A Better Life”
Get Involved To Make A Difference
Choose to believe in Hope and make a difference for horses in need when you volunteer, donate, or adopt a rescue horse.
DONATE
You can be a part of helping Hope save horses’ lives — from direct contributions to attending and promoting Hope’s events to donating needed services or goods. Your support goes directly to the horses and is tax-deductible. Hope is entirely volunteer-staffed and a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization
ADOPT
Adopt a rescue horse (or donkey or mule) and accomplish many things with one simple act. You give a deserving animal a new chance at a good life as your riding or pasture companion. You help Hope In The Valley save the next horse in need. And you return the trust these animals have placed in us to protect and care for them.
VOLUNTEER
Hope’s volunteers often say they come to the rescue for “horse therapy. New volunteers begin by learning operational tasks or ranch chores which include maintaining the facility and helping on project work days. Chores are shared by all and are the best way to become familiar with the rescue, the ranch, and the Hope herd. With no paid staff, volunteers are also responsible for all of the administrative tasks, marketing, event planning, and fundraising. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least 3 hours of service every week.

WE RESCUE THEM
Hope In The Valley rehabilitates horses providing the food, shelter, veterinarian care and attention necessary for a healthy future.
Only a few horses come to Hope in such extreme health conditions. Stormy was one such horse who has been given sanctuary at Hope In The Valley.
YOU PROVIDE THEIR HOPE
Adoption to approved homes is possible for most rescued horses and the goal when they are in fit condition. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, Hope In The Valley is staffed by volunteers and supported entirely by donations. YOU help provide them a better life when YOU adopt, donate, volunteer, or sponsor.
