Finding HOPE

Equine from many walks of life find their way through the gates of Hope. No matter their backgrounds, every equine is treated with great respect and care, providing them the best chance at a “better life”.

When donkeys, mules, or horses arrive they are evaluated for health and provided the best care possible from treatment to vaccinations. Equally important is giving them time to decompress and realize they are in a safe place.

The equine listed below are in transition and have not completed their final levels of evaluation to prepare them for their new lives. The time between in-take, evaluations, and final preparations for adoption can take from weeks to months or in extreme cases more than a year. Please note those listed below are not currently available for adoption.

Andre the giant, an 18hh Belgian with a heart of gold and the courage of a mouse. A favorite of everyone at Hope, Andre is working to overcome his fears and rebuild trust in humans. If he trusts you he will attempt anything you ask especially if the reward is a belly scratch! He is looking for a quiet pasture to hang out and eat lots of hay!
